What the site is
BlankScreen provides free, browser-based screen tools — solid color screens, screensavers, display tests and novelty "prank" simulators. Everything runs locally in your browser. No account is required and we charge nothing for use of the tools.
Acceptable use
You may use the tools for personal and commercial purposes (for example, as lighting, backgrounds, display testing or entertainment). You agree not to use the site to harass, deceive or harm others, to break any law, or to attempt to disrupt, overload or reverse-engineer the service.
About the novelty and "prank" tools
Some pages — such as the fake Windows update, fake Blue Screen of Death, broken screen and hacker-typer simulators — imitate the appearance of software errors or damage. They are provided strictly for entertainment. They do not modify, damage or access any device, file or system; they are ordinary web pages that draw an animation and can be closed at any time. You are responsible for how you use them: only use them on devices and with people where it is appropriate and lawful, and never to deceive, coerce, defraud or cause distress. We are not responsible for any consequences arising from your use of these tools.
No warranty
The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that the tools will be accurate, uninterrupted or error-free, and screen tests provided here are informational and not a substitute for professional hardware diagnostics.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BlankScreen and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the site or its tools.
Advertising and third parties

Intellectual property
The site's design, text and original graphics are the property of BlankScreen. Product names and looks imitated by the novelty tools (such as Windows) belong to their respective owners and are referenced only for identification and parody; BlankScreen is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by those owners.

We may update these terms as the site evolves; the date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
